PROBLEM     Audible is a subscription service that allows you to access the world’s largest selection of audiobooks and podcasts, including their own series of Audible Originals, but deciding what to listen to next can be a challenge with thousands of titles to choose from.
SOLUTION     To make one of Audible's original audiobooks The Faraway stand out, we designed a visual identity that takes 18 to 34-year-olds on an adventure to escape reality. For our touch-points, we created the title cover, product description page, mobile app banner, an animated bus shelter ad, a billboard ad, and a limited-time activation by Audible that includes a Faraway-themed taxi cab and an Instagram ad. Sail away into the eye of the storm with The Faraway.​​​​​​​

About The Faraway
We wanted the story to be a unique narrative that highlights a strong female character who pursues her dreams while overcoming self-doubt. After writing out the important plot points, we translated this information into visual language to be used in the form of illustrations.
Summary
23-year-old Daniel Windward always dreams of escaping her small hometown in Montana and separating herself from her family-run antique shop, the Lonely Attic. She knows she is next to take over the business, but often wonders about what other adventures await for her. 
On a stormy night in the late summer of 1995, Daniel is working at the antique shop when a customer comes in looking for a compass. Polite but mysterious, the old man intrigues Daniel’s curiosity. Out of the corner of her eye, as she is ringing him up at the cash register, she sees the compass do something magical. Then, in a split second, the old man disappears. 
Later that night, the old man returns to thank her for her help with his purchase and asks if she would like to tag along for a journey to learn about what he does. This is all insane to Daniel, but her instincts are telling her to go. She accepts, but little does she know that this adventure is about to turn her dreams into a reality as she boards the magical flying vessel, The Faraway.

Activation
We created an activation to promote The Faraway. Users can scan the QR code on Faraway-themed taxi cabs that grant you access to 3 Audible credits that can be used on the Audible app.
